Faridaily becomes Vlast
Our newsletter is getting a makeover! This has been a long time in the coming, but it has taken so many months because we wanted to get it right. We believe that high-quality content deserves a high-quality brand.
With this step, we hope our reporting will be more accessible to those interested in understanding the secretive Russian regime.
While the newsletters you will receive will look and feel different, there will be no changes to the content—or the terms of your subscription. You will continue to receive newsletters twice a month to the same email address.
If you want to help us continue our work, please consider upgrading your subscription. We offer a whole host of benefits for our most loyal readers.
As well as changing the design, we have also picked a new name. From now on, what you now know as Faridaily will be “Vlast.” In Russian, “vlast” has several meanings, but it’s usually translated into English as “power,” “dominion,” or simply “the authorities.” In Putin’s Russia, “vlast” is an extremely potent, and dangerous, force. We are motivated by the idea that exposing the inner workings of the Russian regime is a crucial public service.
We’d like to take this opportunity to express thanks to Presciant, the brand strategy consultancy that has provided pro bono support for our rebranding process.
Finally, and most importantly, we hope you love the new name, and new design, as much as we do. Happy reading!

Congratulations and best of luck with the new brand.
